Merkulov D.A., PhD in Chemistry, Deputy Director of the Sales Department for Technical Marketing and Sales Support of Norchem LLC

Lauric oils are called coconut and palm kernel oils, as well as babassu oil. These vegetable triglycerides are characterized by a unique fatty acid composition, the feature of which is a high content of lauric (45-48%) acid. Natural fatty acids are of the utmost interest due to their renewability, biodegradability, biocompatibility, and low cost. The fatty acids of lauric fats are produced in large quantities and provide the basic nutritional needs of humans and animals, as well as supply the chemical industry with renewable raw materials to produce soaps, detergents, personal care products, lubricants, paints, and biodiesel.
