Olga Gosina: «There is a russian niche perfume, and it is absolutely unconventional»
In late March, in the midst of a pandemic, a bright event took place in the Russian perfumery market which brings the Russian niche perfumery to a new level and returns it the status of author’s art. Dom Parfumera, a salon and a perfume laboratory, a boutique of author’s perfumery and a lecture hall were opened in Moscow. We met with the owner Olga Gosina, perfumer and creator of the brand Osmogenes in a cozy salon to talk about the Russian perfumery niche.

Alkyl polyglucosides: Properties and Application.

Alkyl polyglucosides are a class of widespread non-ionic surfactants (SAS). They are partially or completely plantderived and belong to the line of green environmentally friendly surfactants, which are highly biodegradable in nature and low toxicity to living organisms. Alkyl polyglucosides are also referred to as dermatologically mild surfactants due to their extremely low irritation capacity in case of contact with skin and mucous membranes. The compatibility of alkyl polyglucosides with all types of SAS, excellent cleansing, wetting, foaming, solubilizing, hydrotropic properties, chemical stability in highly alkaline environments and other useful characteristics of these compounds have ensured their widespread use in cosmetics, as well as household and industrial chemicals. This article is the second part of the material which is devoted to the physicochemical properties and applications of the main trademarks of alkyl polyglucosides.
