Krasney E., Head of the Scientific Research Sector of PKF Modum – Nasha Kosmetika

In particular, the thickness of the epidermis and stratum corneum in adolescents is much thinner, the pH of the skin is more alkaline than in adults, and hydration is higher. On ethe one hand, the skin of teenagers is more permeable and more easily damaged due to the incompletely formed barrier function. On the other hand, it’s regenerated very fast. In fact, a new epidermis is formed every 21-28 days. Young skin has a tremendous ability to heal itself – and that’s great, but you should not count on the fact that nature will take its toll: care for teens ‘skin should be built considering all its features and using the gentlest, but effective schemes.
