A new resident of the Nizhny Novgorod Innovation Science and Technology Center (ISTC) “Quantum Valley” is Akrilkhimproekt LLC (part of the Norchem group of companies) from Dzerzhinsk, RBC reports.

The company specializes in the design of equipment for the chemical and petrochemical industries.
The company intends to implement an import-substituting project at the ISTC site — to launch a pilot plant for hydrogenation of esters of higher fatty acids. The products will be used in the production of surfactants, which in turn are the basis for household and industrial chemicals and cosmetics.

“Our equipment will be designed to work with domestic raw materials instead of imported palm or palm kernel oil. We expect that the consumer will receive high-quality goods at an affordable price due to the use of low-cost technology,”said Vladimir Khavkin, Director of Akrilkhimproekt LLC.
