PCHi 2016: Fuelled Up and Ready to Go

Final Weeks to 9th Edition See Show Organisers Putting Finishing Touches to Finalise 3-Day Event Agenda

With only several weeks left to the first personal care industry event of the year, Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions (RSE) is well on its way to ensure a successful ninth edition of Personal Care and Homecare Ingredients (PCHi) in China. From 1-3 March 2016, the annual trade show will present innovative solutions from over 400 international and domestic exhibitors, offering a wide range of personal care and homecare ingredients, fragrance ingredients, laboratory services, as well as packaging and machinery solutions at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Centre. With pre-registration numbers well over 10,000, PCHi 2016 looks set to repeat its success from previous years.

Elynn Xu, PCHi Project Manager, Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions, stated, “We are encouraged that more than 10,000 domestic and international visitors have already pre-registered for PCHi 2016. And this is a glowing testimony of how our show quality has vastly improved over the years. Every year, we do our utmost to present creative and new show initiatives, and these activities have been well received by visitors and exhibitors alike. This edition, show attendees can look forward to PCHi’s new segment – the Fragrance@PCHi zone, and participate in evergreen PCHi activities, such as the PCHi 2016 Conference Programme and our very own PCHi Awards ceremony, amongst others.”

Highlights at PCHi 2016
With many promising activities lined up for this first industry event of the year, here are some special ones to note:

Fragrance@PCHi [New]
A new standalone zone at PCHi 2016, the inaugural Fragrance@PCHi will present leading Natural Oils & Fragrance products from around the world. As of December 2015, visitors will have viewing access to a total of 14 leading exhibitors in this zone.

Packaging&Testing@PCHi
First launched at PCHi 2013, the Packaging and Machinery segment has been expanded to include companies in the testing and substrate sectors. At PCHi 2016, 19 exhibiting companies will showcase innovative beauty packaging solutions at the new Packaging, Machinery, Testing and Substrates Zone.

Within this feature area, Mintel will present its Packaging Innovation Zone that showcases popular design trends, manufacturing technologies, and packaging material innovations for cosmetics and personal care (CPC) markets. The Packaging Innovation Zone will provide visitors with a platform to connect with established formulation scientists and technology suppliers such as label printing companies and plastic raw materials manufacturers.

Robust Conference Line-up
A mainstay in PCHi’s agenda, the PCHi 2016 Conference Programme will feature close to 90 enriching topics across the 4 pillar topics of Rules and Regulations, Technologies, Packaging, and Market Trends. Led by industry experts, PCHi’s conference itinerary will present quality sessions that mirror current industry happenings.

Recognising Excellence at PCHi 2016
For the sixth year running, RSE and Ringier Trade Media will collaborate to organise the China Personal Care & Cosmetics Innovation Awards (CPCIA). Consisting of several award categories, CPCIA honours outstanding companies and products in an awards ceremony that will be held on 2 March 2016.

An annual tradition since 2008, PCHi will hold its PCHi Awards Ceremony on 3 March 2016. Categories for the ninth edition include Best Booth Design, Best Communications, and Best Product Presentation. The PCHi Awards ceremony provides a distinct opportunity to recognise exhibitors who have invested effort into designing their booths, preparing useful corporate communications, and demonstrating clear and concise benefits of their key products at PCHi.

Rounding up PCHi 2016’s show highlights, Xu concluded, “We are hopeful that visitors will find PCHi 2016 to be rewarding and fruitful. As PCHi continues to grow, the team is making every effort to introduce new onsite learning initiatives that show attendees may find useful. With only weeks away before the doors open to PCHi 2016, we have high expectations for a record-breaking visitor turnout.

Online pre-registration closes on 28 February 2016 and industry professionals are encouraged to pre-register at www.pchi-china.com/en/Visitors/Visitor-Registration. For more information on PCHi 2016 and the various show activities, visit www.pchi-china.com/en or connect with PCHi on social media.
