The Ministry of Industry and Trade initiated the withdrawal of Lamel brand goods from sale

The Ministry of Industry and Trade decided to remove the Lamel brand from sale on Russian marketplaces, Prime reports.

In October, State Duma deputy Yana Lantratova appealed to Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov with a request to conduct an inspection on the fact of continued sales on Russian marketplaces of products of the cosmetic brand Lamel Cosmetics, which belongs to a citizen of Ukraine and supports terrorism on the territory of the Russian Federation. Prior to this, a number of Russian marketplaces and delivery companies stopped cooperating with the brand after notifying the Ministry of Industry and Trade about Lamel’s actions – after the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge, the company posted a publication with a photo of the damaged roadway after the explosion, congratulating subscribers in Ukrainian “Happy Boom Day!”, and also offered makeup options dedicated to the explosion of the bridge.
Lantratova and State Duma deputy Igor Ananskikh sent a deputy request to the Ministry of Industry and Trade with a request to impose a ban on the sale of products of Lamel and similar companies.

“The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation addressed the general directors of Marketplace LLC (Megamarket), Wildberries LLC, Yandex LLC (Yandex Market), Internet Solutions LLC (Ozon) and CDEK.Market LLC (CDEK. Shopping) letters were sent to prevent the sale of products of this brand on marketplaces, as well as the need to develop internal response mechanisms to prevent the occurrence of similar situations in the future,” follows from the text of the letter of the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Viktor Evtukhov to Lantratova.

It is also reported that, according to marketplaces, they have launched additional work to check and remove product cards of this brand and further suppress their placement.
