CMS Berlin 2023: The dialogue platform for the cleaning industry

From 19 to 22 September 2023 CMS Berlin, leading trade fair for cleaning and hygiene, will present innovations in the cleaning industry and act as a dialogue platform for discussing the industry’s headline topics. In a variety of formats experts will share their specialist knowledge with professionals, including on energy efficiency, sustainability, the skills shortage, inflation and digitalisation.

CMS Practice forum: experts share their specialist knowledge with professionals
At the CMS Practice Forum, in cooperation with the following industry associations – the Federal Guild Association of the Cleaning Trade (BIV), the Cleaning Systems Trade Association in the German Mechanical Engineering Industry Association (VDMA), the Hygiene Industry Association (IHO) – as well as with cleaning industry companies, Messe Berlin will present an exclusive programme of lectures and events. The Practice Forum features industry topics targeting specific audiences, including those representing hygiene and health, the hotel trade and gastronomy. Among the healthcare topics will be building cleaning services for healthcare facilities, UV disinfection and an update on hospital cleaning services. Green housekeeping will specifically address the hotel trade. On the subject of sustainability there will be numerous lectures including on the EU’s Green Deal, reporting on sustainability, sustainability seals of approval and sustainable cleaning machines. Other topics will include daytime cleaning, IT security, data standards, digitalisation courses, as well as contract law regarding building cleaning services, and many more besides.

Speakers‘ Corner: exhibitors present their innovations
The new Speakers‘ Corner format gives companies an opportunity to present their innovations and the latest industry topics. Exhibitors are free to present content as they wish. Whether in the form of a lecture or interactive panel discussion, the format is completely open, as in London’s Hyde Park. At Speakers’ Corner, companies including B. DR. SCHNELL, tana, Tork, Nexaro, Gausium, Tennant, Nilfisk, TOPSERV and mobiloclean will present their solutions on the topics of sustainability, digitalisation and the skills shortage. Gausium, Tennant and TOPSERV will be among those lecturing on robotics. Tork and Soobr will show how data-driven cleaning can provide high-quality services when faced with staff shortages, for example. DR. SCHNELL and Nilfisk will present their strategy for maximising corporate sustainability by reducing emissions. Exhibitors will also allow visitors to test their products, among them the Schulter Exoskelett S 700 by exoIQ. Visitors will first be given an introduction and can then test the Exoskelett to see how it makes work easier.

Mobility Cleaning Circle: for a better passenger experience on public transport
On day two of the fair (20 September) the Mobility Cleaning Circle (MCC) will gather representatives of the mobility sector and the cleaning industry. Here too, the industries are facing new challenges regarding sustainability, supply chains, inflation and shortages of personnel for cleaning public transport vehicles. The MCC will focus on these latest challenges and present examples of best practices. At the joint platform of InnoTrans and CMS Berlin, representatives of both industries invited to this exclusive event can explore synergies and the possibility of joint ventures. The MCC 2023 will kick off at 10.30 a.m. with an expert discussion on ’Sustainability in cleaning public transport vehicles’. Taking part in the panel discussion will be Enrico Sosinski, chief customer officer, DR. SCHNELL GmbH & Co. KGaA; Tanja Reilly, senior strategic account executive, EcoVadis, and Tom Dreiner, managing director, transport maintenance and building cleaning services at WISAG Gebäudereinigung Holding GmbH & Co. KG. An invitation has also been extended to a transport industry expert. A guided tour of individual exhibitors at the fair will follow at 1 p.m. The Mobility Cleaning Circle targets a select audience.

Cleaning public transport vehicles: four days of live demonstrations
Before and after 20 September visitors to CMS Berlin will also be able to watch live demonstrations of various cleaning services on buses. These will take place on every day of the fair (19 – 22 September) between Halls 1.2 and 3.2.
