As of 31 July 2016 the Mibelle Group will purchase P&G’s (Procter & Gamble) Ondal Sarl production site in Sarreguemines, France. This will strengthen the already close business relationship with P&G and systematically further Mibelle’s strategy of international growth. All the P&G employees will be retained.
In July 2015, P&G agreed to merge more than 40 of its beauty brands with perfume specialist Coty.
Many of these brands are manufactured at Ondal Sarl. As a result of the close customer relationship between P&G and the Mibelle Group of recent years, this situation presented an attractive opportunity: as of 31 July 2016 the Mibelle Group will take over the site. It will continue to manufacture there for P&G and also for Coty, assuming the closing of P&G’s merger with Coty Inc.
The company employs around 180 people and specialises the production of retail and professional hair care products, hair colourants and face- and body care products. This production site has modern equipment and technologies which will allow the Mibelle Group to expand its existing product range.
The Mibelle Group will continue to employ Ondal France’s entire workforce. The increase in new brands to service will also lead to additional jobs being created in Switzerland.
This acquisition is a perfect fit with the Mibelle Group’s strategic direction and will make a significant contribution to the planned international expansion.
