In November in St. Petersburg took place the III International Forum ‘Commonwealth of Fashion’, organised by the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS member states together with the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and JSC ‘Russian Export Centre’. The event was held in the Tavrichesky Palace.
The aim of the forum was to strengthen intercultural ties and economic cooperation of the CIS countries, one of the directions of which is the beauty industry.
Director of the Scientific Centre of Svoboda JSC Olga Romanicheva took part in the round table on the theme: ‘Synergy of science and business of the CIS countries: proven technologies and new opportunities in the field of aesthetic medicine’. In her speech, Olga Romanicheva touched upon the problems faced by specialists in conducting research during the development of novelties for aesthetic medicine, and also shared her thoughts on the prospects of interaction between science and business in the field of aesthetic medicine. Olga Romanicheva also noted the importance of co-operation between business and scientific institutes in the framework of start-ups. As an example, she cited the successful experience of co-operation between Svoboda JSC and the university student startup ROSBIOTECH on joint development and production of toothpaste in the summer of 2024.
Responding to a request from a representative of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Olga Romanicheva together with Sergey Kirsch, the owner of the Geltek cosmetics company, offered their production sites for the implementation of projects to produce pilot batches of innovative cosmetic products. For her part, the moderator of the meeting Doctor of Medical Sciences Natalia Manturova announced that such meetings in the format ‘science – business’ will be held on a regular basis.
Head of the Museum Department of Svoboda JSC Elena Alyokhina took part in the round table ‘Fashion tourism: main vectors and ways of development’ with the report ‘Beauty industry as an area of tourist attraction’.
In her speech Elena Alyokhina told about the unique excursion project launched in Svoboda JSC 10 years ago, within the framework of which the factory popularises knowledge about achievements of the cosmetics industry, its rich history in Russia and current state to the general public. Special attention in the report was paid to the necessity of personalisation of excursions. Elena Alyokhina also told the audience about the cooperation of JSC ‘Svoboda’ with the relevant public authorities, museums and cultural institutions and about the results of such cooperation: TV programs, exhibitions, video films, etc.
