The production of non-woven materials has been becoming a developed and multifaceted industrial infrastructure, without which very few other industries can operate. Being once a sub-industry, de facto, non-woven materials have long overcome the boundaries of the conventionally called recycled fabrics. The use of non-woven materials in the production of hygiene products has received particular development. The article presents the classification of materials for the production of hygiene products, the development trends of the global and Russian market of non-woven materials and the main manufacturers of non-woven hygiene materials in Russia.

Concern for the environment has led to the emergence of new formats of products for women’s hygiene.
