Fermentation of vegetable oils by microorganisms makes it possible to obtain cosmetic products called biolipids. The main advantage of such natural lipids is their close affinity to skin lipids. This facilitates the introduction of additional components (such as ceramides) into cosmetic emulsion formulations, and improves interaction with the stratum corneum of the epidermis. Biolipids nourish the skin well, moisturize it without leaving traces after application. In addition, they are enriched with microbial metabolites, which helps to improve the microbiota of the skin.
