Matveichuk Yu.V., PhD, Head Laboratory of LLC AN3, Minsk, Republic of Belarus
The most common bacteria in everyday life are considered – Staphylococcus aureus (S. Aureus) and Escherichia coli (E. Coli), as well as a fungus – black mold (A. Niger or A. Brasiliensis). The main routes of transmission or occurrence of these microorganisms in everyday life are given and the diseases they cause are briefly described. To combat these microorganisms, as well as additionally Mycobacterium tuberculosis, spores, and viruses, three disinfectants have been developed: the first is based on hydrogen peroxide and perlactic acid, the second is based on a mixture of quaternary ammonium salts with the addition of polyhexamethylene biguanidine hydrochloride, the third is based on isopropyl alcohol and polyhexamethylene biguanidine hydrochloride. Microbiological data characterizing the effectiveness of the developed disinfectants are presented: effective concentrations and exposures (processing time), temperature are presented. Primary safety precautions when using products in everyday life are described.
