The article describes components with thickening properties (carboxymethylcellulose, its sodium salt (sodium microcrystalline cellulose). The components are obtained on the basis of cellulose or lignocellulose materials, they are used in the cosmetic, food, pharmaceutical and a number of other industries. The main methods of obtaining these chemical compounds are presented, the main technological and physico-chemical characteristics are given; the current situation in the market for the supply of these ingredients is presented.

Eco-friendly Solutions for the Cosmetics Industry: Raspberry Seeds

This work deals with the possible utilization of seed material generated in the industrial processing of raspberry juice, known to be an excellent source of ingredients with antioxidant and antimicrobial potential. The intent was to address the possible reuse of this valuable and non-toxic secondary raw material, in accordance with good production practices and legal regulations in the cosmetic industry.
